If you’re like me, and you enjoy flying Virgin America, one of the country’s newest airlines. Attracted by their aircraft interior, which feels more like a music lounge or cool martini bar, with mood lighting and drum & base music to match.
If you’ve ever wondered what this environment would feel like if it were a hotel, this hipster resort in Acapulco, Mexico may give you an excellent idea. Enter Hotel Encanto, a resort like Acapulco’s never seen before. And a welcome addition to Acapulco’s resort offerings that has helped put it back on the travel map again.
After all it was Acapulco that catapulted onto the global tourism map in 1964, courtesy of “The Night of the Iguana” starring Richard Burton and Ava Gardner. Hollywood glamor brought it the world’s attention. Of course it helped that Acapulco became the location where Richard Burton romanced Elizabeth Taylor. And this was long before there was Cancun.
