Just like with any other hotel type, an Eco Resort or Lodge, works towards creating a unique stay experience for every guest. They do, however, generally work extra hard to strive for the right balance between nature and comfort. And ensure these two are in relative harmony.

They take initiatives to ensure that their presence does not disturb the nature, and they empower the local people through job creation and contribute to the community.

The cornerstone of an eco-hotel is basically “The 3 P’s“, Profit, People, and Planet. These three needs are the new holy trinity of an eco-hotel.

Many major chain hotels are also instituting water conservation and recycling policies. But they are only as effective as the guests that choose to honor them. Travel green! And be environmentally savvy! Here’s a glimpse at this new generation of green hotels across the world.

This certainly looks like the type of places I’d like to stay in. The photo seems enticing and if those of us who go there play our part, then we can also enjoy a holiday and work along with our environment.
