There’s one hotel name that is making waves across Asia and is the one to watch. Singapore-based Alila Hotels & Resorts, with its Indonesian roots, has been quietly spreading its new sense of Asian modern style that is carefully fused into a sustainable business model,  across South East Asia, The Maldives and The Middle East.

Alila is now heading into South Asia, with the opening of its first resort in India, it’s 10th property. Alila Diwa Goa has made its home on the Arabian Sea coastline by the white-sand Majorda beach, embraced by verdant paddy fields. The 149-room Alila Diwa Goa is a short drive from Goa’s Dabolim International Airport, providing an convenient escape.

The resort is inspired by Goa’s famous laidback lifestyle, and is designed as a perfect blend of contemporary and Goan heritage architecture. Guest rooms are spacious, with private terraces, and at the top of the pecking order is the 3,800-sq. ft. Presidential Villa of private space and its own plunge pool.

Alila is already planning further expansion in India, with properties scheduled to open in Bangalore and Cochin.
